Today was the Pinewood Derby for Colum's Cub Scout pack. It was very well run and the boys had a good time. Here are the pictures from the derby. Enjoy! Great Uncle Eric REALLY LIKES YOUR DESIGN, Column!! Says a lot about WHO you ARE!! Always look at everything from the side, bottom, back, inside (take a flashlight), then from the front. Measure your observations against Biblical principles. Then make your decision. Before stating it, or cutting the wood in this case, does it honor God? Follow Biblical principles?
When your Dad got his wings in Kingsville, I held you by your ankles and moved you around the room so your head was at the same height, but upside down. You adapted to that view very easily.
Remember, we're made in His image, and we have a sense of humor. I can't begin to imagine His level of humor!! Always be able to laugh at yourself -- it'll endear others and calm your enemies (those you haven't yet met).
Wish that I had thought of encouraging David (my son) to design something unusual, non-standard when he was in AWANA.
